Mellow Yellow Cafe runs this website. We have tried to keep it simple: this site does not ask you for personal information, and we do not track you around the internet.
What we collect
Directly, nothing. There are no contact forms, no accounts, no newsletter sign-up and no online ordering on this website. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details anywhere on it.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested — things like the IP address the request came from, the browser being used and the page requested. This is standard server logging, used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies, and this site has no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking scripts. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
Your browser may store a small amount of information locally to remember your preferences. That stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Video and links to other sites
Our story page includes a news segment hosted on Facebook. It does not load until you press play. If you choose to play it, Facebook will receive your request and may set its own cookies, under Meta’s privacy policy, not ours. If you never press play, nothing is sent to them.
We also link out to Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site and their privacy policy applies.
Phone calls and orders
Preorders are taken by phone, not through this website. When you call, we take the details we need to prepare your order and take payment at the time of ordering. We keep that only as long as we need it to fulfil the order and meet our record-keeping obligations, and we do not sell it.
Children
This site is a bakery website and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If you are in California
California residents have the right to know what personal information a business collects about them, to request its deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Since this website does not collect personal information and we do not sell or share personal information, there is very little to request — but you are welcome to contact us and ask.
Changes to this policy
If we add anything to this site that collects information — a contact form, online ordering, or analytics — we will update this page before turning it on, and change the date at the top.
